| 4. | The Red Lion Hotel, Bredwardine - Near Hay-on-Wye - Herefordshire - In all we have some 4 miles of the river known as The Moccas Fishery located at Bredwardine between Hay-on-Wye and Hereford. Our season opens on the 16th June and runs until 14th March. We are open to anyone wishing to fish on a daily or weekly basis.
Over the last few years we have steadily built up a reputation as one of the premier Barbel Fisheries in the country. The usual weight range Is between 4 to 9 lbs. with many double figure fish and the largest recorded so far weighing in at 14lbs. The river is quite strong flowing and as a result the fish are extremely healthy and strong fighting, so we recommend a minimum of 8lb.line.

The majority of our work is complete refurbishments where the owner has perhaps bought a second hand rod and requires it re-building.
