Two version of the Hardy Perfection Roach Rod where manufactured:
House of Hardy carbon match rod, used but very good condition. Unsure of age but rod section says, No 1 carbon match 12' 365cm, The ref; LV11959 also appears on the butt section. Both Mid & top sections have 27 written on them. These sections also have weighted cork bungs inserted at the base of each section to help put into bag. The bag is original with House of Hardy logo and By Royal appointment to HRH the Prince of Wales. All eyes are tip top, cork handle is excellent condition. The top section has a small scratch.
Vintage Hardy Matchmaker 12 fott, three piece match rod in totally mint and unuised condition. Original stoppers. Never seen the river bank. Complete with the original bag and original sales label.
A mint condition and unused Hardy Matchmaker 12 foot float rod. This rod has never had a line through the rings, its as good as it was some 30 odd years ago. The rod is dated 1970, it was one of the original Hardy Matchmaker pattern rods. It comes with the original cloth bag which is also mint . What's more I know from previous experience these are lovely rods to fish with, especially in the 12ft version. Still retains original stoppers.
This rod is MINT CONDITION and as never been to the river bank a superb example of this very collectable rod, the rod is the Smuggler deluxe graphite carbon fibre fly rod,8ft 2 1/2 inches long, it weighs 2 1/2 oz, still as the original plastic on the cork, not a blemish or a mark on the rod anywhere.
Even I want one of these in my collection. An 8 piece, 9 foot 5 inch, Hardy Graphite #7 Smuggler Fly Fishing Rod. The rod is in very good condition, totally original, comes with rod bag and a leather protective carrying case.
Hardy 7ft Game fish Spinning rod made in 1957,inscriptions are perfect, rod is straight seems to be in original condition. The Hardy catalogue states that the rod has a weighs 6 1/4 ozs. Comes with original Hardy bag with pocket for the ferrule plug which possibly explains why the rod retains said plug. Slight indentation to the cork where a reel has been left clamped to the handle, wish I had the reel too! possibly an Altex. A nice rod to use or collect. This two piece seven foot spinning rod is in excellent condition with a 15" cork handle. It has seven stand off rings with the top eye agate lined there are a couple of light rust marks on the rings nothing to worry about and the whips are red and green and in very good order. The butt is stamped with the Royal Crest by appointment and the Prince of Wales plume of feathers by appointment also the Hardy trade mark with the rod number H3899. Comes in its Hardy cloth bag which is in good condition except the Hardy logo has more or less perished it still has both of its rod tags one on care of your rod and on the other is pattern 6lb Hardy Wanless length 7ft number H3899 handle cork reel fittings adjustable rings joints suction rings F. O. B. weight 5ozs 12drms. A super little spinning rod to use or to collect.
This is a fabulous, Hardy float rod; it is in mint condition, length approx 11'3". Three separate sections - all rings, varnish and whippings in mint condition, this item is as new, the registration number is 56239, the rod comes in its original canvas bag, three separate sections with Hardy label.
Hardy Brothers Superstrike Sheffield style 10 1/2 foot long , the rod number is g22501 , the bottom 2 joints are whole cane and the middle is spliced and the top is greenheart, brass fittings stamped clearly this rod has been totally refurbished and looks superb and comes with a bag
Hardy Cane Rod - The Lightweight Sheffield Style Very nice old Hardy float fishing rod, green whips, whole cane butt and middle, with split cane top. Ferrules tight, with both stoppers. Rod straight. Varnish finish bright and even, may have had a coat of varnish during its life, or this may be the original finish - it is difficult to say. Rod does look very attractive, and I don't think its had much use. The usual Hardy ink lettering above the corks says, The Lightweight Sheffield Style. The handle fittings are very well bronzed. The corks in excellent condition, seem unworn. There is a matching screw in the end of the butt, to blank off the screw threads. The no. on the butt cap is G 24738. Comes in well-worn 3-section Hardy bag which may well be the original. Overall length is a fraction over 11 feet.
