An unused "Mint" Aspindales Aero No8, split cane, three piece rod from the 1970s. The rod 12 foot 3 inches in length, absolute quality. Classic Aspindales rod with special large and small reel footing locks, just rotate 180 degrees to fit all reel sizes. One of the finest Chub, Barbel, Carp rods ever made. Originated from a Tackle Shop owners personal collection a previous display model, never been in sunlight! All markings are 100% undamaged. (no flaking of varnish). Jeweled end and first eyes and hard chrome all others. Made in Astwood Bank, Redditch England UK. Weight 14 ounces. Brass spigots and protector (see pics). 100% original rod , No damage or refurbishment.

Aspindales rod - Split cane called the Aero, 10 foot 6 inches in length. Believed to be an early Aspindales rod. The full inscription on the rod says; "The Aero, No 890 Aspindale Manor Works Redditch". Good condition with original bag.
Circa 1950s made by James Aspindale & Sons of Redditch England. The rod has three sections, all split cane and in excellent condition and original except for the tip ring. Marked on the butt is The "Aero" No.892 Aspindale's Manor Works Redditch.
The Aero No. 892 vintage split cane fishing rod made by James Aspindale of Redditch, England. The rod is in very good condition, the last section of this rod is 4" shorter than the rest it has whipping all the way down. This rod has probably been rewhipped & varished over the years. All the eyes are in good condition, full cork handle. The rod is about 12 foot long.
This is a early Aspindales rod, the full writing on the rod says, The Aero Wizard, No. 306, Aspindales, Manor Works Redditch. Full cane bottom, split cane the next two joints, agate lined top and bottom rings, the rod has been refurbished and looks stunning, there is a flat spot along the cork for the reel foot to fit better, this rods looks superb.12ft long with very good condition ferrules which are tight fitting.
The-aero -Wizard --no906 Aspindales-Astwood bank Redditch.is written on but section.It is 11ft 6ins 3piece Tonkin cane but split cane middle and top;original stoppers lined but and tip rings.This rod is straight and in remarkable condition for its age.it has obviously been well maintained and re varnished at some point. This is a very usable or collectable rod . It comes in a green cloth bag.
A numbered Match Rod. No 913 from Aspindales, a three piece 12 foot whole cane rod with graduated split cane tip match rod, dated January 1954 in superb original condition and complete in makers bag, with wooden ferrule stoppers. Whippings in red. A superb collectable example.
This rod is in superb condition, with just a scuff on the cork where a reel has been, the rest is superb, the rod was made by James Aspindale & Sons, The Sevendale hollow built match rod, comes in original bag, the rings are like new, the ferrules are also suberb.12ft long, a quality rod from a top maker.
Aspindale Dalesman - "The Severdale" Hollow Cane Match Rod. A vintage 3-Section 12 foot hollow built cane Match rod in exceptional, original condition by one of the UKs leading rod makers: James Aspindale & Son, Redditch, England. With little signs of use, if any, this superb rod is complete with it's original cloth bag which also bears the early Aspindale label. The 19" cork handle is finished with a solid black rubber onion bung and features sliding reel fittings. The butt & intermediate sections of rod are both stamped 1A, whilst tip section is marked 3K, indicating the matching of these sections for this particular rod in it's production - signs of quality rod making. The rod is finished with the typical whipping which Aspindales used of yellow & black flecked silk, whilst butt and tip rings are agate lined. With smooth, tight fitting brass ferrules, this classic rod is a very fine early example of an English hand-built cane match rod. Butt section ferrule also has brass & cork protecting bung. Hand written inscription on rod says " Dalesman, The Severndale, Hollow Built-Cane Match Rod by Jas Aspindale & Son, Redditch, Eng."
Here is a fine example of the Aspindale Severndale split cane rod, (hollow built) 12 foot long three section rod in cracking condition. The rod comes with the original makers bag and is in perfect condition. There is a slight bit of scuffed cork where a reel has been previously, but that is not that noticeable and does not detract from this beauty of a rod.
An Aspindale Dalesman Silverdale 13ft Spanish Reed. Sought after vintage float rod, in Spanish reed and built cane, rod is straight, the blank still has plenty of backbone, all whippings and eyes sound and original. No original bag, although one of similar age to the rod. No repairs or hidden faults.
The butt section of this rod is Spanish reed the tip and mid sections, built cane, this was a luxury item in its day, it has brass ferrules and its original ferrule stops, it has its original eyes all of which are sound (all solders intact, no rust) tip and butt eyes are its original lined ones, it is lightweight and absolutely fit for immediate use. Rod has been professionally re-varnished at some point
A superb Aspindale rod, hand built by James Aspindale & Sons, made of split bamboo, the rod is a stalking rod, called the Temedale Perfection, 9 foot long and weighs 13 ozs, built in 2001, excellent condition, with a couple of marks on the ferrules, comes with named bag and tube, this has the paperwork with it, the rod cost �325.
