A Martin James 14 foot cane rod. The butt and middle sections are stepped round cane, the top section is round cane with hexagonal cane spliced in. The actual length is 13ft 11inches. The whippings are red and blackand there is a hook keep fitted to the butt section. All the rod rings are black and rust free possibly renewed at some time also the joints are pop fit with no wear or rattle. A nice piece of fishing history from Martin James of Redditch and in the original bag.

Another beautiful vintage item, Martin James 11ft float rod in Spanish reed and built cane, suitable for roach etc, in great totally usable condition, with original bag, very crisp, plenty of backbone, the integrity of the blank is well preserved, rod has been professionally refurbished to a high standard, new eyes throughout, lined at tip and butt.

A very nice vintage Martin James split cane pike spinning rod 7 foot 4 inches. In excellent condition does not appear to of seen a lot of use, 7 ft 4 in length, agate top and bottom eyes, all decalls are there, full cork handle, rubber button cap comes in its original bag with no label, a very nice old rod to use or add to any collection.

A really superb Martin James three piece split cane 10 foot trotting rod presented in outstanding little used condition. With black whippings, red agate lined butt and tip ring, this rod comes complete with makers original cloth bag. All sections are tight fitting and straight.
